Cygnet on the side of the road
Date: 3 June 2015

I was driving today and saw what I thought was a baby goose on the side of the rd. I quickly turned my truck around picked the animal up off the st then began to look for it's parents. It turns out it was a cygnet. I searched around and found a male and female in what appeared to be a nesting area about 500-600 ft from where I found the baby. As I approached the mother(I'm assuming) looked at me very cautiously. I didn't want to get too close so I placed the baby down about 8-10 ft from her. Assuming these two animals were the parents do you think the baby will be ok?
